With us all desperate, for it to actually be Spring so we can potentially wear any of the “New In” that we see in stores and online, I wanted to draw your attention to, in mind view, one of the ultimate transitional prints. The black based floral for me is the perfect floral, and here’s why.
Things I love about the black based floral print.
1. The print won’t date or go out of fashion, florals are forever! It’s the style of the garment that will date, so my tip is to buy classic shapes and styles and it will honestly last you years to come.
2. You can wear your favourite coloured accessories to bring out a accent colour in the print and make your outfit pop!

3. Black floral is the perfect partner to your go to spring jacket, the leather biker. It takes you effortlessly from day to night, looking chic whilst you are doing it.

4. Looks just as great in the summer with sandals or trainers, as it does with tights and boots in the winter, a real transitional print. It will work hard for you, just layer it up or down.

6. For an event, it’s an easy print to dress up. The black base gives it a smarter look compared to its other floral print counterparts. And being black it means we all have accessories in our wardrobe to match.

5. Jeans and a nice top, has been my go to outfit for going out, pretty much anywhere, for years . And preferably black jeans and a nice top, so a black floral top goes perfectly, whilst injecting a touch of print interest and colour into your outfit.

My favourites on the high street right now.
1. This is a perfect transitional dress with flattering wrap fit and long sleeves. Would look great with boots and a jumper/ cardigan over it right now, sandals in the summer or dressed up with heels for an event.

2. If like me, jeans and a nice top is your go to outfit, check out this black floral pleated top from & Other Stories.

3. This midi skirt from Topshop is such an easy wear item. Throw on a jumper and boots right now, then team with a t-shirt and trainers/ sandals in the summer. As it’s got a slit it’s also more flattering if like he you are petite as it doesn’t drown you with fabric or look too long.

I hope I have given you some floral inspiration. And remember it’s not just about buying new, check out what’s in the back of your wardrobe before rushing to the shops !
