The Perfect Edit- Slogan Tee

Continuing on from last weeks edit on the classic t-shirt, I felt that the slogan tee deserved it’s very own edit. A great wardrobe basic to have to mix and match with your bottoms and bring that extra something to your outfit.

A slogan tee is chance to express your personality, to give people an insight into you. You might love the message, identify with the words or you may just love the colours! A happy positive message or a tee shirt with brightly coloured slogan is a great mood lifter too!

How to wear

A slogan tee is a great way to bring colour into your outfit and sure way of adding some interest into your basic jeans and a top outfit. You can also match your accessories to the colours of the text to really make it stand out and also make your outfit feel very put together.

Wearing your slogan tee with a coloured skirt or pair of trousers is also a great way to really highlight the colours and bring it all together.

If a splash of colour isn’t for you then a monochrome version is the easiest thing to mix and match with the rest of your wardrobe. Wear with denim, khaki and all the neutrals as well as of course black, for a chic look.

The majority you find are white based T-shirts, so they easily work with the bottoms already in your wardrobe, especially the denims!

There are some great small brands out there doing slogan tees, as the well known high street stores, so it’s worth having a look around online if you are wanting something a bit different. I’ve included a couple of my favourite small brands in my edit. These brands are doing smaller print runs so where that means they might sell out or you have to wait a while longer to get yours, it does mean there is so much less waste and this is a much more sustainable way to shop.
